Q. Can a foreigner own a Condominium in Thailand ?
One of the simplest options for foreigners to buy property in Thailand is to purchase a Condominium. However, the percentage of total sold units to foreign nationals must not exceed forty nine percent of the total number of available units in the condominium block. The funds that are used to buy the condo must be remitted from abroad and correctly recorded by a Thai Bank. The new owner of the condominium will be issued a certificate of unit ownership stating the percentage of rights over the common areas of the building that each individual owner has.
